LTS will be transitioning software.lehigh.edu to a new software installation system effective January 2, 2025. The new system is a web-based environment that will provide a more secure, robust, reliable, and faster software download platform for the more than 60 software applications LTS distributes to the campus community.

In alignment with the Organization of the Future Strategic Initiative, we are excited to announce the implementation of the Atlassian suite of tools, including Jira, for faculty and staff at Lehigh as our preferred project management software. This powerful platform will enhance project and ticket management across our university, streamline workflows, improve collaboration, reduce redundancies, and enhance overall efficiency.

Current students, faculty, and staff at Lehigh can take advantage of free and reduced-priced software available for download or purchase from a variety of sources for academic, departmental, and personal use for Fall 2024.

Software vendors regularly identify and repair software security vulnerabilities by releasing patches and updates. Over time, vendors cease supporting certain software packages and stop releasing patches and updates. Computers with unpatched software are vulnerable to security compromise.
