Current students, faculty, and staff at Lehigh can take advantage of free and reduced-priced software available for download or purchase from a variety of sources for academic, departmental, and personal use.

Free software and storage

Microsoft

All current students, faculty, and staff may use Office 365, a subscription based online suite which offers access to various services and software built around the Microsoft Office platform. You will be able to download and install the latest Office suite on up to five computers and on up to five mobile devices like smartphones and tablets. For current students and faculty only, Azure Dev Tools offers over 200 Microsoft software applications that include Windows 11, developer tools such as Visual Studio, server software, and other Microsoft application packages. Visit FAQ: Azure Dev Tools for details and to sign up.

Adobe

Students enrolled in a course that requires Adobe Creative Cloud should be automatically provisioned for an Adobe license. If a student needs to use Adobe CC and is not enrolled in a supported course, such as a special project, group or research, an account can be requested by a sponsoring faculty member. Named User Licenses are available for Faculty/Staff at a cost of $100 per year. Visit our Adobe Guide for more information.

Google

Lehigh University is a Google for Education partner school. Access is automatically provided to all Lehigh students when their Lehigh computer account is created. Google Workspace for Education is a web-based suite of tools similar to what is offered in MS Office.

  • Apps for mobile devices (phones and tablets)

Dropbox

Dropbox is a cloud-based file storage system that enables easy collaboration, file syncing, and sharing on any device. With a Lehigh Dropbox account, you can store and organize files securely, access them on both desktop and mobile devices, and share links via email, chat, or text. It offers automatic content synchronization across devices, version control for managing edits, seamless integration with Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to recover or restore deleted files. For current students, faculty and staff, Lehigh’s Kivuto OnTheHub web store offers academic discounts on popular software for business, design, science and engineering, and more.
