Join Lehigh’s 2nd annual International Love Data Week (Feb. 9–13) with events centered around the theme “Where’s the Data?”, exploring how data moves from collection to preservation. Highlights include a talk by biostatistics professor Tom McAndrew, data centered poster presentations, a Frederick Douglass birthday transcribathon, and a LinkedIn Learning Challenge. Arts & Events
- Lehigh University Libraries present Tending to the Past: Works from the Petrucci Family Foundation of African American Art, featuring works by Black American artists that explore history, memory, and cultural preservation. The exhibition is on view on the 6th Floor South of Fairchild-Martindale Library through March 2026.
- Lehigh Libraries' current exhibit "Unfinished Chapter" examines the complex history of freedom in America and its ongoing resonance today. Grounded in the themes of Unfinished Revolutions and the Power of Place, the exhibit includes rare publications from the country's founding, historical texts highlighting democratic ideals, emblems of American liberty, and student-curated reflections on global freedom and identity. The exhibit is on display in Linderman Library and Fairchild-Martindale Library from January 19 through July 31, 2026.
- Join a spring book club discussion of Teaching Community: A Pedagogy of Hope by bell hooks, hosted by the Humanities Center, CITL, and the Pride Center. Open to faculty, staff, graduate students, and postdocs, the group will meet three times (Feb. 10, March 17, and April 7, 12–1 p.m.), with free lunch and book copies provided. Register now.
What’s new in software and technology?
Curious about how AI tools at Lehigh can enhance your learning and day-to-day work? Attend LTS AI office hours on the last Friday of each month from 12-1 p.m. via Zoom to explore new capabilities, see how LTS staff use these tools to support teaching and learning, or get your AI questions answered.
Register for Generative AI, technology, research computing, and library resource training in our Spring 2026 Seminar Series. We offer nearly a dozen seminars highlighting Lehigh tools, software, and services designed to help you work more efficiently and maximize your productivity in the office, the classroom, or in your research.
Faculty and staff can enhance collaboration, streamline project management, and simplify workflows with powerful Atlassian tools like Confluence, Jira, Trello, and Jira Service Management. Drop into Atlassian office hours on first and last Fridays of the month from 12-1 p.m. (no registration required) to get personalized support, share tips, and explore new ways to optimize your work.
Ready to move beyond theory and start solving real operational challenges? Driving Results: From Process Insight to Project Delivery is a four-part, hands-on series where each session builds on the next—guiding you from identifying root causes to planning and executing solutions using enterprise tools available at Lehigh. LinkedIn Learning is free for all Lehigh students, faculty, and staff. Faculty can integrate tutorials into Course Site to supplement curricula and enhance learning, while staff can build skills with training that complements HR career enrichment programs. Learn more and get started.
Data skills are essential in every discipline. LTS offers DataCamp, an online platform for learning data literacy at any level. Students can follow expert-led courses, complete short exercises, and get real-time feedback, all in a web browser. Learn more and get started.
What’s new in teaching and learning?
Missed the CITL Winter Workshop? Sessions facilitated by Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning staff feature faculty perspectives on AI and writing, strategies for leveraging media in the classroom, updates on Course Site, and overviews of AI tools available to faculty and graduate students. The Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning is partnering with 22 Faculty Fellows on projects covering innovative pedagogies, including Generative AI as a Pedagogical Tool, Inquiry-based Learning, Game-based Learning, Writing Across the Curriculum, Harnessing XR/VR Technologies, and Integrating Data Visualization Strategies. CITL spaces, including the LTS Emerging Technologies Lab (LETs Lab), Digital Media Studio, XR Learning Lab, DIY Podcasting & Lightboard Studio, and Audio Recording Studio are great resources to support teaching and learning. Do you have students looking to explore the fields of 3D or 2D game development, VR/AR/MR, or spatial computing? If so, learn more about the CITL Student Developer Lab, located in the Computing Center, just west of FML. You can also stay current with the field of XR at Lehigh and beyond by joining Lehigh's Extended Reality (XR) Community of Practice, an avenue for learning and sharing.
CITL offers ongoing pedagogical consultations; partners with faculty on course-based writing, research, and digital media projects; supports classroom technology across campus; and provides teaching and creation spaces in both libraries. The CITL and Graduate Education & Life will again partner this spring to offer a Teacher Development Series (TDS) for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars.The TDS is a free, non-credit training course to help grads, postdocs, and visiting trainees such as Fulbright Scholars improve instructional and classroom skills. The opportunity is open to teachers and researchers from every college, discipline, and stage of their graduate and postdoctoral careers. Learn more.
TRAC Writing Fellows Program
Eighty of our Technology, Research, and Communication (TRAC) Writing Fellows will work with 26 faculty members and instructors in 25 classes across the curriculum this spring. TRAC Fellows offer writing conferences with 10–15 students on 3–4 assignments per semester while primarily focusing on the writing process and clear and effective communication. Reach out to Justin Greenlee, Director of Writing Across the Curriculum, if you are interested in having fellows contribute to one of your courses next semester.
The TRAC Leadership Team invites Lehigh faculty and staff to nominate undergraduate students to join the TRAC Writing Fellows Program in the 2026–27 school year via this form! Nominations are due by the end of the day on Friday, February 13, 2026. Please note that we only recruit students who are currently first years (Class of 2029) or sophomores (Class of 2028). LTS provides the Lehigh community with study areas, access to resources, experts ready to help, and events that promote inquiry, deepen learning, and build community.
Fairchild-Martindale Library (FML) and Linderman Library hours (Lehigh ID tap entry is required after 9:00PM).
- Monday-Thursday: 7:45AM - 2AM (both libraries)
- Friday: FML: 7:45AM - 12AM; Linderman: 7:45AM - 10PM
- Saturday: FML: 9AM - 12AM; Linderman: 9AM - 10PM
- Sunday: 9AM - 2AM (both libraries)
The Computing Center Pit (lower level) is open 24 hours, 7 days a week during fall, spring, and summer semesters, offering round-the-clock space for work and study. Lehigh ID tap is required when the building is open but the doors are locked.
