1pm-2pm - How can we preserve writing skills in a time of AI? (panel discussion: view recording)
The widespread availability and use of AI for text generation has a tremendous impact on the writing process of college students. A few years ago, autocomplete guided our questions to search engines. These days, a user and a chatbot can unfurl a composition in seconds. This session gathers faculty and staff who are invested in writing and asks: How can we preserve writing skills in a time of AI?
Panelists: Laura Fitzpatrick, Assistant Director, Academic Success and Writing Center. Jenna Lay, Associate Professor, English. Zakery Muñoz, Assistant Professor, English. Kayleigh O'Keeffe, Teaching Assistant Professor, Biological Sciences. Bruce Whitehouse, Professor, Anthropology.
2pm-3pm - AI tools available to faculty/graduate students (view recording, documentation)
Designed for Lehigh faculty and graduate students, this online session with LTS experts explores Lehigh-supported AI tools that enhance teaching and research and are available at no cost. Learn how these innovative technologies can transform your academic work and expand your AI toolkit.
