We kicked off the new year with the AI@Lehigh Summit, bringing together faculty and staff to discuss the evolving role of AI in teaching, research, and professional work. Visit the summit website for the recap, recordings, and resources.
Join Lehigh’s 2nd annual International Love Data Week (Feb. 9–13) with events centered around the theme “Where’s the Data?”, exploring how data moves from collection to preservation. Highlights include a talk by biostatistics professor Tom McAndrew, data centered poster presentations, a Frederick Douglass birthday transcribathon, and a LinkedIn Learning Challenge. Reading and Researching in the Lehigh Libraries
The Lehigh Libraries offer access to an extensive collection of digital journals, print books, ebooks, databases, tools, and rare and archival materials. Deepen your reading and research by searching our collection, keep up with news such as the New York Times and Wall Street Journal, explore our OverDrive ebook and audiobook Library, and extend your reach by using the PALCI EZBorrow interlibrary loan system to request books delivered to the library in 3-5 business days from over 73 partner institutions.

Arts & Events
- Lehigh University Libraries present Tending to the Past: Works from the Petrucci Family Foundation of African American Art, featuring works by Black American artists that explore history, memory, and cultural preservation. The exhibition is on view on the 6th Floor South of Fairchild-Martindale Library through March 2026.
- Lehigh Libraries' current exhibit "Unfinished Chapter" examines the complex history of freedom in America and its ongoing resonance today. Grounded in the themes of Unfinished Revolutions and the Power of Place, the exhibit includes rare publications from the country's founding, historical texts highlighting democratic ideals, emblems of American liberty, and student-curated reflections on global freedom and identity. The exhibit is on display in Linderman Library and Fairchild-Martindale Library from January 19 through July 31, 2026.
What’s new in software and technology?
Curious about how AI tools at Lehigh can enhance your learning and day-to-day work? Attend LTS AI office hours on the last Friday of each month from 12-1 p.m. via Zoom to explore new capabilities, see how LTS staff use these tools to support teaching and learning, or get your AI questions answered.

Explore LTS’s innovative technology spaces designed to spark creativity and discovery.
- The LTS Emerging Technologies (LETs) Lab offers hands-on access to tools like XR, AI, GIS, and drones, paired with expert support and large-scale displays for collaboration.
- The Digital Media Studio provides high-end computers with Adobe Creative Cloud, specialized equipment, and loaner gear to bring multimedia projects to life.
- For those creating content, the DIY Podcasting & Lightboard Studio makes recording lectures or podcasts as simple as plugging in a USB drive, while the DIY Audio Recording Studio offers professional-quality voice recording for narrations, interviews, and podcasts.
- The Student Developer Lab supports exploration in digital game development and design, offering specialized tools and software for XR and interactive media projects. You can also stay current with the field of XR at Lehigh and beyond by joining Lehigh's Extended Reality (XR) Community of Practice, an avenue for learning and sharing.
Together, these spaces give the Lehigh community easy access to cutting-edge tools, whether you’re experimenting with new technology, designing media, or sharing your voice and ideas.
Data skills are essential in every discipline. LTS offers DataCamp, an online platform for learning data literacy at any level. Students can follow expert-led courses, complete short exercises, and get real-time feedback, all in a web browser. Learn more and get started.
The CITL and Graduate Education & Life will again partner this spring to offer a Teacher Development Series (TDS) for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars.The TDS is a free, non-credit training course to help grads, postdocs, and visiting trainees such as Fulbright Scholars improve instructional and classroom skills. The opportunity is open to teachers and researchers from every college, discipline, and stage of their graduate and postdoctoral careers. Register by February 11. Learn more.
Seek a nomination to the TRAC Writing Fellows Program
Are you a writer? Do you like to read and edit other people’s writing? Are you a skilled researcher or communicator or are you adept with technology? If so—and if you are currently a first or second year student—then we encourage you to seek a nomination to the TRAC Writing Fellows Program at Lehigh! Nominations to join the program in Fall 2026 are due by the end of the day on February 13. Learn more.
What’s open when?
LTS provides students with study areas, access to resources, experts ready to help, and events that promote inquiry, deepen learning, and build community.
Fairchild-Martindale Library (FML) and Linderman Library hours (Lehigh ID tap entry is required after 9:00PM):
- Monday-Thursday: 7:45AM - 2AM (both libraries)
- Friday: FML: 7:45AM - 12AM; Linderman: 7:45AM - 10PM
- Saturday: FML: 9AM - 12AM; Linderman: 9AM - 10PM
- Sunday: 9AM - 2AM (both libraries)
The Computing Center Pit (lower level) is open 24 hours, 7 days a week during fall, spring, and summer semesters, offering round-the-clock space for work and study. Lehigh ID tap is required when the building is open but the doors are locked.

Our wide range of services, programs, and resources includes research consultations with librarians; digital scholarship, instructional and computing technology support; teacher development services; information security; and advanced research computing resources.
The LTS Help Desk is the first point of contact for all these forms of assistance, and our Student Technology and Repair Service (STARS) can help students with their personal computers.
