  • Lehigh University Libraries present Tending to the Past: Works from the Petrucci Family Foundation of African American Art, featuring works by Black American artists that explore history, memory, and cultural preservation. The exhibition will be on view on the 6th Floor South of Fairchild-Martindale Library from mid-September 2025 through March 2026, with an opening reception and panel planned for October 16th.   • Step into the digital rabbit hole with Alice in Informationland! Join Touchstone Theatre and Lehigh Libraries on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 7–9 p.m. at Linderman Library for an imaginative performance exploring AI, ethics, and human-machine interaction through the lens of Alice in WonderlandLearn more.
  • Discover Informationland: The Past and Future of Libraries, now on view in Linderman Library. Inspired by this fall’s collaborative event Alice in Informationland with Touchstone Theatre, our new Special Collections exhibit traces libraries’ role from clay tablets to AI, showcasing how librarians have preserved knowledge, guided discovery, and built community across centuries. Explore rare government records, Lehigh archives, and media formats old and new. What’s new in software and technology?

Faculty and staff can enhance collaboration, streamline project management, and simplify workflows with powerful Atlassian tools like Confluence, Jira, Trello, and Jira Service Management. Drop into Atlassian office hours on Fridays from 12-1 p.m. (no registration required) to get personalized support, share tips, and explore new ways to optimize your work.

Curious about how generative AI tools like Google Gemini, NotebookLM, or DataCamp’s DataLab can enhance your work? Attend LTS GenAI office hours on the last Friday of each month from 12-1 p.m. via Zoom to explore new capabilities, see how LTS staff use these tools to support teaching and learning, or get your AI questions answered.

Register for Generative AI, technology, research computing, and library resource training in our Fall 2025 Seminar Series. We offer over two dozen seminars highlighting Lehigh tools, software, and services designed to help you work more efficiently and maximize your productivity in the office, the classroom, or in your research.

LinkedIn Learning is free for all Lehigh students, faculty, and staff. Faculty can integrate tutorials into Course Site to supplement curricula and enhance learning, while staff can build skills with training that complements HR career enrichment programsLearn more and get started.

Data skills are essential in every discipline. LTS offers DataCamp, an online platform for learning data literacy at any level. Students can follow expert-led courses, complete short exercises, and get real-time feedback, all in a web browser. Learn more and get started.

What’s new in teaching and learning?

Turnitin assignments in Course Site have been updated to use a new, streamlined integration. To learn more, see our updated documentation with step-by-step guidance.

The Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL) is partnering with 18 Faculty Fellows on projects covering innovative pedagogies, including the use of Generative AI, VR/XR and immersive learning, inquiry-based learning, cross-disciplinary moments, and collaborating with the Writing Across the Curriculum program in their fall 2025 courses. Learn more about our Faculty Fellows.

Eighty-six of our Technology, Research, and Communication (TRAC) Writing Fellows will work with 22 faculty members and instructors in 27 classes across the curriculum this fall.TRAC Fellows offer writing conferences with 10–15 students on 3–4 assignments per semester while primarily focusing on the writing process and clear and effective communication. Reach out to Justin Greenlee, Director of Writing Across the Curriculum, if you are interested in having fellows contribute to one of your courses next semester. 

CITL spaces, including the LTS Emerging Technologies Lab (LETs Lab)Digital Media StudioXR Learning LabDIY Podcasting & Lightboard Studio, and Audio Recording Studio are great resources to support teaching and learning. Do you have students looking to explore the fields of 3D or 2D game development, VR/AR/MR, or spatial computing? If so, learn more about the CITL Student Developer Lab, located in the Computing Center, just west of FML. You can also stay current with the field of XR at Lehigh and beyond by joining Lehigh's Extended Reality (XR) Community of Practice, an avenue for learning and sharing.

CITL offers ongoing pedagogical consultations; partners with faculty on course-based writing, research, and digital media projects; supports classroom technology across campus; and provides teaching and creation spaces in both libraries. The CITL and Graduate Education & Life are offering a free Teacher Development Series this fall for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. This non-credit training helps participants strengthen instructional and classroom skills and is open to trainees and researchers from all colleges, disciplines, and postgraduate career stages. Learn more.

The Office of Educational Innovation and Assessment and the CITL invite you to join a new network at Lehigh focused on the role of artificial intelligence within higher education learning environments. The Strategic Methods in AI-Responsive Teaching (SMART) community of practice empowers faculty and staff to critically and creatively integrate artificial intelligence into their instructional landscapes. Join us this fall for a book club devoted to bell hooks’ Teaching to Transgress: Education as the Practice of Freedom, sponsored by the Humanities Center, the CITL, and the Pride Center. The reading group will meet three times this semester and is open to faculty, staff, graduate students, and postdocs. Free lunch and book copies provided. Learn more and sign up.

LTS provides the Lehigh community with study areas, access to resources, experts ready to help, and events that promote inquiry, deepen learning, and build community.

Fairchild-Martindale Library (FML) and Linderman Library hours (Lehigh ID tap entry is required after 9:00PM).

  • Monday-Thursday: 7:45AM - 2AM  (both libraries)
  • Friday: FML: 7:45AM - 12AM; Linderman: 7:45AM - 10PM
  • Saturday: FML: 9AM - 12AM; Linderman: 9AM - 10PM
  • Sunday: 9AM - 2AM (both libraries)

The Computing Center Pit (lower level) is open 24 hours, 7 days a week during fall, spring, and summer semesters, offering round-the-clock space for work and study. Lehigh ID tap is required when the building is open but the doors are locked.
