About SLAB
The Student Library Advisory Board is a cross-college representative body of undergraduate students that advises Lehigh Libraries about issues related to Library services, collections, programs, events, and spaces. Meetings are held at least monthly and generally include discussion of club business along with fun, lively conversation with friends over a meal.
SLAB members gain insider perspectives about how the Libraries work and are invited to share ideas, insight, and imagination to influence how the Libraries support Lehigh’s undergraduate students. The Board also provides students with various professional development opportunities related to libraries and librarianship in higher education.
Previous SLAB cohorts have developed advertising for library databases, found innovative campus-wide approaches to inform our community about new journals, newspapers, and other Library resources, as well as advised the Library on issues related to space planning and information access.
In addition to contributing student perspectives, SLAB plans and hosts student events and activities that increase interest in Lehigh Libraries and bring together book lovers and avid readers. Come learn what we’re all about and consider joining SLAB!
