Proposal: This fellowship focuses on a full class intervention to teach students metacognitive learning strategies, evidence-based approaches for reflecting on one’s own learning of new material. Small practices in class will exemplify the application of metacognitive learning strategies so students are better-equipped to employ these practices on their own, empowering them to take ownership of improving their learning process. Additionally, the use of games in learning will be explored.
