The Lehigh University Libraries are excited to announce our summer storytime event in the LTS CIRCLE at the E.W. Fairchild-Martindale Library. Please join us on Tuesday, June 18th from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for an interactive reading by Veronica Moore, also known as Brown Skin Plant Mama, an educator, author, and plant therapy advocate. Pizza, snacks, and drinks will be provided, and the program will close with a planting activity. One free copy of Veronica’s book will be provided for every family.

The event is free and open to the public. Please RSVP at https://go.lehigh.edu/readandgrow. * Registration closed

Veronica will be reading and leading an interactive discussion of her newly published book, Rosie’s Special Gift, which follows young Rosie on a journey through the world of plants where she learns valuable life lessons about kindness, generosity, and community. Following the reading, the book’s themes around nurturing plants and the magic and power of nature will come to life with a children’s planting activity. Each participant will have the opportunity to decorate a planter and repot and take home their own plant.

While these are books written for children, all are welcome and people of any age can learn new ways to approach these important concepts from this event. We look forward to seeing you and learning with you!
