Please be advised that the lobby elevator in Fairchild-Martindale Library will be unavailable beginning Monday, May 18, 2026, through approximately Friday, August 7, 2026, due to a scheduled modernization project. This work is being completed to improve the elevator’s reliability, safety, and long-term performance.
A second elevator in the building will remain available during the renovation period. However, that elevator only provides access through the 6th floor. Access to the 7th floor will require use of the stairs between the 6th and 7th floors.
If you need assistance retrieving materials from the 7th floor because you are unable to use the stairs, please contact the Help Desk at (610) 758-4357 or helpdesk@lehigh.edu.
In addition, Fairchild-Martindale Library will be closed on Friday, May 22, 2026, due to construction work that will create excessive noise throughout the building. If you need assistance on Friday, the following support options will be available remotely during normal operating hours:

- The Help Desk will be available via phone (610) 758-4357, email (helpdesk@lehigh.edu), or chat. You can also submit a Help Request for assistance.
