A community of faculty, staff, practitioners, and graduate students who are interested in games (both analog and digital), gaming, game studies, and the potential of incorporating play into their pedagogy and research.
The purpose of the Gaming and Game Studies Community of Practice is to bring together Lehigh faculty, staff, practitioners, and graduate students to share knowledge and resources in the fields of gaming and games studies. GGS-COP will also provide a space for discourse and idea sharing and offer opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Keep an eye for announcements in the Spring, we're hoping to have events around making games as well as using games as part of your pedagogy. If you have any questions or comments in the meantime please email Chris Harvey at cah317@lehigh.edu

Game Based Learning
Initial Kickoff Meeting
The Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL) kicked off the initial meeting for the Game Studies & Game Based Learning (GBL) Community of Practice on Thursday, October 16. The session was intentionally informal with light snacks, a few games set up and available to play in a variety of formats, and plenty of space for conversation. The planning committee is using the feedback from our initial meeting to brainstorm some possibilities for the CoP's future!
