Course: Introduction to Film
Proposal: Transitioning from a classic large-lecture model, this course will adopt an inquiry-based framework to bolster student motivation. Students will move from passive analysis to active creation by developing short film segments that apply specific filmic and aesthetic concepts studied in class. The collaboration with CITL focuses on designing an integrated "lab" or "studio" setting for the final weeks of the term, providing essential instruction in camera work and editing to help students synthesize theory through practice.
