Proposal: Moving away from a traditional "information transfer" or “banking system of education,” this senior seminar adopts a student-led discussion format. The fellowship focuses on "Writing Across the Curriculum" to encourage students to take deeper responsibility for class content and connect academic texts to social issues. CITL will collaborate on designing assignments and classroom management strategies that foster sophisticated and student-driven dialogue, with a focus on concrete ways to implement bell hooks’ teaching methodologies.
