Course: Ecology and Evolution of Infectious Diseases
Proposal: This course will utilize "Generative AI as a Pedagogical Tool" to help students practice communicating complex science to non-expert audiences. Students will use a role-playing AI tool to simulate conversations with diverse personas (e.g., a 5th grader) about infectious diseases. CITL will provide guidance on the most effective tools for this simulation and support the scaffolding of the final science communication projects.
