Proposal: This seminar course will be redesigned to address the impact of AI tools on student learning. The instructor will collaborate with CITL to implement Inquiry-Based Learning techniques, focusing on critical thinking, analysis, and knowledge synthesis. New approaches will include semester-long multimodal assignments using ArcGIS StoryMaps to integrate various media, game-based learning and theater games (e.g., fishbowl, debate, treasure hunts) for classroom activities, and AI-related curriculum to promote intentional and critical use of AI tools. The goal is to actively engage students, build crucial media competencies, foster creativity, and enhance classroom community and learning.
