When you go to save a file in an application running within the virtual environment, the familiar file browser window will appear where you can navigate to the location where you want to save your file. In the left pane of that window, locate This PC and if it isn't already, click to expand it as shown. Any of the folders/locations you have chosen to share will show up as<folder_or_location_name> on <your_computer_name>.

Select the folder/location you want to save to. Folders within the location you select will show up in the right pane of the window.  In the case of the example, the macOS user folder/location is selected and the folders that show up in the right pane include the familiar Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Dropbox, etc. folders.

Once you have selected your save location, click Save as you normally would. Your file has now been saved to a location you can easily access on your local computer.
