Access Departmental Network Storage (I: Drive) on Windows

Only Lehigh faculty and staff have access to files on the I-Drive. The specific folders and permissions for each department are unique, so what you see will depend on how your department has set up the folders there. If you are unsure about your path, consult your department staff or computing consultant.

Right-Click on your My Computer icon and choose Map Network Drive.

2
Action:

Select your I: drive and fill in the folder name \\common.cc.lehigh.edu\common\. This will map a drive that shows top-level folders for each college or stem at Lehigh. Click through your unit to access any department and special folders you have access to. You will not be able to view the content of folders for which you have no access rights.

If you prefer to directly map to your department folder, enter this folder name, where OU is your college or stem and dept is the name of your department in the Active Directory.

\\common.cc.lehigh.edu\common\OU\dept\

You may need to ask your Computing Consultant for this information.
