Minimum Requirements for PC Hardware Support by the LTS Support Team for the RCEAS

The following are base-level hardware specifications required for support by the Library & Technology Services team supporting the Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Sciences. The purpose of establishing these minimums is to optimize the level of support we can provide to members of the College and ensure the effective and secure use of Lehigh's computing environment. Given the increased requirements of modern software application suites available to clients via LTS, we believe that it has become impractical and unproductive for clients to attempt the installation and use of such software on equipment that does not meet the stated minimum hardware requirements. LTS has standardized on Windows 11 (Windows 10 will still be supported through 2025.) If your needs include running the same software that is available in the public computing labs, your PC should have similar specifications as those PCs. Some laboratory equipment may require drivers that support only Windows 32-bit, please contact LTS about these unique circumstances where limited support can be provided using Windows 10 LTSC.) These minimums are reviewed on an annual basis by the LTS support team for the RCEAS.
