WordPress is an open-source website/blog creation tool. It is one of the most well-known and easy-to-use blogging platforms and content management systems (CMS) available today. However, one of the chief concerns with such a widely-used and extensible tool such as WordPress is that it is very vulnerable to hacking and other exploitation. In order to protect users and site administrators from these vulnerabilities while still affording the ability to leverage the hallmark features of the platform, LTS has contracted with CampusPress.

The ABCs of PDFs

The PDF format is a common document format—we use it all the time, but it’s a good idea to look under the hood at why it’s so popular! This guide will cover the basics of PDFs, why it is useful, when a PDF is a good document format to use, and how to produce a document in PDF formats.

We currently have tutorials in support of the classes we teach for iMovie, Audacity, and Final Cut Pro.
We also have a video basics page which goes over some fundamentals such as composition and framing, shot types, camera movements, transitions, sound and microphones, camera support, lighting, and crossing the line.

Please view our most recent tutorials below.

One Button Studio

The One Button Studio is a video recording space where an individual can reserve time and create high-quality video recordings by simply bringing a USB flash drive and pressing a button to start/stop recording. The studio does not require users to have prior video, audio, or lighting knowledge as all of those components have been automated and pre-set for ease-of-use. For more information, please see the Getting Started documentation.

Using an SSH Gateway in MobaXTerm

This set of instructions walks through making an SSH connection to a host using MobaXTerm's 'jump host' feature. This is helpful when making SSH connections to systems behind firewalls that provide an ssh gateway host, like Lehigh. One potential complication is that credentials for the gateway host may differ from those on the desired destination host. MobaXTerm's interface makes these connections easy.

Classroom Documentation Team

Keeping track of technology equipment in the various classrooms, computer labs and conference and study rooms across campus requires attention by knowledgeable staff from many departments. If you're using LTS-supported technology within classrooms and other spaces, the technology provided is listed and described on the Classroom Technology and Public Computers website.
