Microsoft Software for Work at Home Use (faculty/staff)

Lehigh University has an agreement with Microsoft Corporation which permits all Lehigh University faculty and staff to use popular Microsoft software on their work computers. The software may also be used off-campus on Lehigh's virtual public site. Installation on a faculty or staff personally-owned computer is permitted only for Lehigh-related work at home use.

Obtaining Microsoft software for Faculty and Staff Work at Home Use

Microsoft Office and Windows on DVD: Microsoft Office and Windows operating system DVDs may be purchased at the LU Bookstore for $15.00 per title, limit one DVD per title. When purchasing Microsoft software, a valid Lehigh ID must be presented and the Microsoft Work At Home Acceptance Form must be signed. Titles available at the bookstore: Office Pro Plus 2010 for Windows, Office 2011 for Macintosh, Windows 7, Windows 8. Note: Windows 10 and Office 2016 are not available on DVD.

Microsoft Office and Windows download: Faculty and staff have the option of purchasing ONE copy each of Office and Windows for work at home use. The cost is $9.95 each through Lehigh’s Kivuto web store. Titles available for download: Office for Windows 2016, 2013, 2010; Office for Mac 2016, 2011; Windows 10, 8.1, 7.

Free Windows upgrade: Anyone currently running Windows 7 or Windows 8 may be eligible for a free upgrade. This free upgrade is available from Microsoft through July 29, 2016 and is obtainable as a Windows update on your computer. Installation and use of the Microsoft work at home software indicates that the faculty or staff member has read and agreed to comply with the terms and conditions of Lehigh University's Microsoft Campus Agreement as described in the Microsoft Work At Home Acceptance Form
