Join us for the CITL Winter Workshop

The LTS Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning will be holding its yearly Winter Workshop on Wednesday, January 10 and Thursday, January 11, 2024. Please join us to discuss and learn more about topics and tools that will spark innovation in your teaching and curiosity in your students’ learning!

All sessions will be in Zoom. 

This year's Winter Workshop will include the following sessions:

Wednesday, January 10

  • 10am-noon - Hands-on Introduction to Generative AI tools (View recording)
    Interested in learning more about AI tools? During this online, two-hour session, CITL staff will demonstrate AI tools for text, image, and code generation, while giving participants the opportunity to experiment with AI tools on their own.
     
  • 2pm-2:50pm - Introduction to Gradescope (View recording.Gradescope documentation)
    Gradescope is a web-based tool currently licensed by Lehigh used for grading and providing student feedback. Assessments and assignments to be graded can be hardcopy and online, including handwritten work, code, and bubble sheets. Join us for the introductory session with a Gradescope product trainer to learn more.
     
  • 3pm-3:50pm - Intermediate Gradescope Features (View recording.)
    Take your Gradescope use to the next level. Join us in this second session to learn about more advanced features including use for coding exercises and making use of Gradescope analytics. You'll have the opportunity to ask specific questions of the Gradescope product trainer.

Thursday, January 11

  • 11am-noon - Course Site Upgrades for Spring 2024 (View recording./Course Site Upgrade Information)
    Changes and improvements are coming to Course Site in Spring 2024! Join us for a hands-on workshop to learn more about the new user interface featuring more consistent, efficient, and intuitive site navigation; improved course organization including collapsible topics and greater visibility of due dates; and easier access to assignments for students. This is your chance to have a look at the new interface with all of the previous functionality and ask your questions. 
     
  • 12:30pm-2pm - Artificial Intelligence Community of Practice Spring Kickoff (View recording.)
    CITL invites you to attend the second meeting of our Community of Practice on Artificial Intelligence (AI) as part of our Winter Workshop. For this session, we'll be hearing from several faculty members about their use of AI in the classroom and as a research tool. Please join us online to be part of the discussion.

Course Site Drop-in Sessions

In addition to the main sessions on Jan. 10 and 11, the Instructional Technology team will be holding Course Site 'drop-in' sessions to work with faculty on their course sites for the spring on Monday, January 8 and Tuesday, January 9.

  • 11am - 1pm - Course Site 'drop-in' sessions 
    Come to a Course Site 'drop-in' session on either day, in-person in EWFM 379 or online in Zoom, to work with a CITL Instructional Technology Consultant to get your course site up and running for the spring.
